The Valley Artisan Fest was created to introduce the community to an exciting selection of interactive hobby workshops. Each 30' x 30' tent is hosted by a local master/expert in a given field. Those fields include Quilting & Fiber Arts, Visual Arts, Music & Dance, Cooking, Beer and Wine. Expect hands-on demonstrations from teaching artists from local arts schools and businesses!
This FREE event is made possible by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs!

Lizz Leral - (Quilting & Fiber Arts Tent)
Lizz Leral is the Executive Director of Quilting for Community, a San Fernando Valley-based non-profit organization dedicated to building community by teaching the art of quilting. Quilting for Community’s goal is to teach the community-at-large that quilting is a means of healing & artistic expression. Class-made quilts are donated to hospice, shelters, and hospitals across Southern California. Basic quilting classes are FREE to the public.
Hector Perez-Roman - (Music and Dance Tent)
Hector Perez-Roman is the host and executive producer of Valley Views SFV on KROJ 101.5FM. Valley Views SFV’s mission aims to uplift stories of brilliant people, organizations, businesses, artists, and social movements that have a positive impact on the San Fernando Valley and beyond through deep and fun discussions at the intersection of politics, economics, culture, art, and music.
Phil Leonard - (Visual Arts Tent)
Phil Leonard is the founder of Writing on the Walls, LLC which provides Murals in the San Fernando Valley. The goal is continuing the ancient traditions of depicting history, those who have impacted it, and beauty in our daily lives with walls as our canvases. Murals, and other Visual Arts can have a valuable role helping with the mental and emotional health of communities, families and our Self.
Chef Sergio Escalante - (Cooking Tent)
Our Executive Chef Sergio Escalante was born in Nayarit Mexico and migrated to the United States when he was 18 years old. In 2004 Sergio began his own catering company. Sergio is the Executive Chef for the Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley and has traveled internationally to teach other up and coming chefs his style of cuisine. He proudly owns two trophies that he won for making the best chili in Simi Valley!

Ready To Laugh? – My Valley Pass is proud to present a new rooftop comedy show at the iconic Sherman Oaks Galleria. Join us this summer for a fun and safe way to just enjoy an evening in the San Fernando Valley. The show will take place on the rooftop parking structure which has amazing views of the Valley. We will see you where the 101 and 405 freeways meet.
All proceeds will be benefiting our new San Fernando Valley Tournament of Roses Parades Organization. We are getting ready for a float entry for the Valley in 2025.

The San Fernando Valley Rose Parade Organization is comprised of volunteers and dedicated individuals with a common vision. Our mission is to highlight the vast population of the various and culturally diverse communities that make up the historic San Fernando Valley. The participation into the Tournament of Roses elevates local tourism while building relationships with other cities and organizations. It also brings together our community in sharing a common interest of showcasing the beauty of nature and conservation through our float. This opportunity allows us to work with local innovators in a variety of fields to complete our mission. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization we raise funds to develop, build, decorate, fund, and operate our float.
