Join My Valley Pass and our friends from the Los Angeles Hiking Crew as we celebrate Earth Month with a family friendly hike through Limekiln Canyon Park in Porter Ranch.

Dust off your hiking shoes and show your Valley pride by wearing your favorite Valley gear as we explore one of the many beautiful hiking trails in the San Fernando Valley. The total hike will be a one-mile round trip, but you can hike as far or as little as you want.

Kids will receive a special gift from our partners at Crayola Imagine Arts and our Valley Kids Club!

Dogs on leashes are permitted.

In celebration of Star Wars Day, My Valley Pass is thrilled to present Star Wars: A New Hope Experience as part of our ongoing film series Movies On Location. Throughout this exciting series, we screen films at their actual filming locations, or at settings that go hand-in-hand with these specially curated movies. The series features state of the art projection and sound.

This May 3rd, join us in Van Nuys as we screen Star Wars: A New Hope in the parking lot of Neiman & Company, formerly the original location of Industrial Light & Magic where all of the visual effects for Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) were produced.

We'll be leading building tours of the former ILM facility all day long! You have the option to purchase combo tour/movie tickets or just tour tickets. Please see the ticket options page for more information.

SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT!

My Valley Pass is thrilled to welcome back to the original home of Industrial Light & Magic pioneering visual effects artist and innovator Dennis Muren!

After serving as the second cameraman on the miniature and optical effects unit on Star Wars (1977), Dennis's visionary work through his nearly fifty-year career at Industrial Light & Magic has earned him nine Academy Awards for films including The Empire Strikes Back (1980), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Return of the Jedi (1983), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) and Jurassic Park (1993). Dennis was the first visual effects artist to receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dennis will be signing a limited amount of autographs and introducing the film at this year’s event. You won’t want to miss it! If interested in getting Dennis's autograph, please see the ticket options page for more information.

Doors open at 6:00pm*, Film begins at 8:00pm

Tickets for this event are limited, Arrive early to choose your seats and grab some popcorn. All seating is on a first come, first served basis. More details can be found on the ticket options page. 

*Ticketholders for the 4:15pm, 5:00pm, and 5:45pm building tours will be able to enter at your chosen tour time and either stay at the location after the tour's conclusion or leave and return closer to the start of the movie.

Jared Cowan is a photographer and film journalist who has written extensively on the subject of filming locations for various publications including Los Angeles Magazine, L.A. TACO, and LA Weekly. He leads our My Valley Pass film tours of the San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, and the Langham Huntington Hotel.
